Yes, I remember reading where people had to wet snow to build a snowman.

The irony is most folks move out of my area to the Carolinas to get away from it, the way it looks now they will get pummeled and we will get snain (snow/rain)....

we got a little over 18 inches from Monday morning thru last night. Was hoping we could get a few feet from this storm so I can use the snowblower on the back of the tractor some more. No luck here. Enjoy the storm for those of you in the middle of it :dex:

That stuff will sag the power lines pretty good. Get a few bottles of drinking water put aside for the power outage and make good use of your stove.

About what we got too. Fell at a slow enough pace you could keep up with it amongst other daily grind.

Im so amped up for this storm!! I hope it tracks farther south and nails us. I want 20 inches plus lol. Everyone is at DEFCON level 1 here.

Only thing that stinks will be the wind associated with this storm. Im prepared for multiple days without power. Chili has been made, water and batteries on hand. Plenty of wood available for burning! Everyone stay safe and sit back and enjoy the beauty of it.

Yeah blizzard warning here. The winds will be brutal and our snow is usually super heavy and wet due to being surrounded by the water on all sides. I will hopefully get home on friday before the bulk of it hits.

Got the chainsaw ready for whatever may happen as well!

Yup. Get extra gas for generators, snow blowers, vehicles, etc. Buy extra milk so shelves will be bare in stores (seems to always happen) and now one is told to buy extra water too. Don't forget extra tp!

I thought today was suppose to be light snow; by late afternoon it is coming down steadily and everything is turning white. The roads that are not brine are turning white. I really really really wish I had my stove :(:(:(

Looking like we will be spared from this one. After last winter we should share the snow with some of the less fortunate. I'm happy with the 6 inches we have on the ground and not 11 feet.

Looks like we won't get any from this thing. I'm okay with that. I need to get out and cut wood for next year.

Why these bunch a whining little whippersnappers on the Television. I remember a time when we use to get storms like these three foot droppers every other week. All winter long. We had to shovel the sidewalks on the way to, and home from, school. Then go to work on the farm when we got home. Shovel the manure from 400 cows all by ourselves. Spread it on the fields with wheel barrows, on top of the snow. o_O Then bring in the firewood, and get a few hours of sleep before we milked them cows and then delivered the milk in the morning. And then .........:BrianK:
