Full load for the cold tonight. Has been great running the stove and being home all day , can really keep the temps great in the house. Loaded up at 8:15ish going to be a low of 12 tonight. Was 73 in the stove room when I went to bed. Ignacio (my stove) is a tank and he does a wonderful job. Going hunting in the morning so I will be up at 4 to check on things.

capetownkg how do you like that IR? I have the same one. My wife purchased it for me about 3 years ago for a pre christmas present. I thought it was such a great idea I picked one up for my dad who was coming 1200 kms for Christmas. He doesnt burn but likes these kinds of gadgets. I thought it would be good for side walk temps in the summer when hes walking the pooch,,, that kind of thing. When he opened his present we walked around shooting walls, dogs, wood stove whatever and they were very similar in temps.

Really enjoying the nc-30. It's wonderful when it's 35 or above outside. Once it dips cold like last night the reload times leave something to be desired, but for the money it's a beast. I have exclusively heated with it this year so I run it a lot.

Yes, he'll love it next summer. Even on our deck we get well over 130 degrees on a hot summer day just on the wood railing. Wonder what a sidewalk in a southern city would be for temp?

You can also use these to see where air leaks are.
