These have like a harden end. I use one on my huskie 44 . I have used it for over 20 years. Been a good bar and have cut alot wood with it. I think its time for a new bar. Is a sprocket one better choice?
I much prefer a sprocket nose bar myself. Should give the saw back a little power as well. Some guys like the hard nose bars if they're doing a lot of plunge cutting or working in very dirty conditions.
