Uh yeah. It's 2 degrees out now. Tomorrow won't get above zero. Some say -2 for a high, others day zero for a high. I brought in enough for a few days. All high btu stuff.
Greenstick, you've got me beat on the windchill! I have a balmy -30 windchill right now. Makes you wonder what the heck it will drop to when the wind picks up during the day?
You guys make it tough for a fella to whine about -15*F wind chills! I still will though! Keep the fires blazing!
Wow, you guys ARE getting hit. As I remember, it wasn't all that long ago that some folks were whining about the mud and no winter and "I can't wait for it to get cold". As my old granny used to say "Wish for something with one hand and you'll end up with Chit in the other". Now time to let the big dogs out with them stoves...........................
The temp bottomed out at -34 wind chill. The wind has died down a bit, but I think it is just trying to catch it's breath since the advisory is up until 6:00 this evening.
Wow....wish some of that cold would come here....and bring some Damm snow with it!! Every time precipitation moves in, it warms up and we get HAMMERED with rain!! Then immediately after the rain is done, the Temps slide back down sub-freezing. It's really starting to stick in my craw!!!
Scotty, we have the cold and the damm snow with it! At least it's not snowing hard. Just enough to put the shovel down, that all.
Our front moved through, will be cold, below zero with the wind, but nothing like out west. Only snow we'll see will be lake effect from Lake Erie, almost 300 miles away......
The real cold seems to once again, be west of us and sweeping down below and around us, lasting only a day or two.
Our overnights should be "warming" a little after this weekend. Mid to upper teens is fairly easy to deal with, and much better for wood use than these close to zero or below days.
I'm about the same as Scotty. It get's below freezing for a few days, only to warm up enough for it to rain. I've got a pond forming in my front yard!
Reminds me of one winter we spend in Indiana (Plymouth). It would warm up and rain then turn cold. Hardly any snow on the ground that winter. Not a happy winter at all for us at the time.
COLD? My goodness it sure was COLD! Why I saw 2 lawyers walking down the street and they had their hands in their own pockets!
Yup! Tie game had to go to overtime. (now don't be messing with my head just because I'm a Packer fan.)
