And the wind is blowing?
Cut wood close to the house!

 

You cut in this weather? Isn't the whole point of doing this is to be warm when it gets nuts outside, lol. I'm just too chicken to go out in these temps. My county re-issued another Level 3 for the roads today, sure am glad I didn't open the bakery. So what I do is sit around and wait. I watch wood burn for a while, then I watch these crazy birds that have invaded my wood pile near the house, yes they are back today big time, then I get on the computer, I eat more than I should, not really sure if you can drink too much coffee, but I'm trying. Later on I might take a Zantac and a nap. I sure am glad to have good wood during this. It is so toasty warm in here, I don't understand why more people don't do it.

Too dammed windy.

Only way I could have worked a little longer I'd need a face mask and can't find mine.

Good job felling it toward the house Jack. If you sent it the other way, you would have had to be outside longer!!!! I'm guessing that the direction of fall went with the wind? If the wind was blowing the other way, you would had to go after a tree on the other side of the house!!!!

I wanted to fall it into the woods but the wind was blowing it towards the house. It was a dead Shagbark Hickory. I also cut a few Ash trees.

I had a high of 12 today, I worked in it all day. As long as you keep moving it's all good.

Jack, a little to the left with that tree, would you have hit the house?

 

Have to admit that I liked cutting some this last weekend to when it was umpteen below zero. Something about taking up that challenge mother nature was throwing at us....sick huh?

 

I cut my share outside in the cold after the ice storm, cleared roads etc. I'm gonna wait till the windchill is above 0 I think. A C
