We kid around a lot about the dumb things we do from time to time. (I'm not alone here am I? Bueller....Bueller....) Well, this is the thread where you can brag yourself up/down. Kinda like cooking a frozen pizza with the cardboard...!! I installed an outlet next to the control switch for the furnace. So instead of a 2X4 elec box; it is a $X$ elec box. one switch and one outlet in the same four square. Got it? When I light off the basement wood stove, I plug the circ fan on the wood stove into the four square and distribute the heat around the basement. When the evening is over, I simply unplug the stove fan and let the fire go out. This morning I woke to a brisk 59 inside the house. Checked on the furnace and yup! When I unplugged the stove fan, I must have hit the switch because there it was in the off position. Shees!
How about when I tried my hand at directional felling (aka make tree go where I want, not where it wants) and had a 90 percent success rate. You can imagine the one tree that sat back on my bar, and with no wedges on hand, was fun. So that was my blunder in early October.
Don't need to re-mention falling on the recent hernia repair site I guess....getting firewood.....hurt don't cover it
I thought it was the "MuffinMan" statue..... I have also been known to get excited about changing a clutch w/out first checking the slave cylinder's reservoir.....
Better than doing it 2 or 3 times. I'm not fessin' up to anything I haven't already fessed up to, although I'm sure there's gotta' be more dumb stuff I've done.
Eric VW 's 50 shades of hydraulics. I grabbed the super frickin hot rotisserie rod with my hand when I made my first rotisserie chicken a few days ago. I burnt 3 fingers on that smooth move. The funniest thing is that my wife also gave me a pair of Steven raichlen grilling gloves for Christmas, to go with my new rotisserie for my gas grill. They don't work if you don't wear them, huh? I didn't drop the cooked chicken though. So there's that at least.
Dirty birdie..... (Name that novel, big boy!?) I got excited, what can I say? Not you...I know what you would continue to say..... Been there, mastered that slick move too
I once touched a brake disk after landing the plane. I'm not sure why I felt that was important, but yeah, they get a little warm.
