I "know" those things too! But, do you like them? I'm Scott Irish with a bit o American Indian so I don't always go with the flow...
1/2 Swede and 1/2 German, I drew the line at Lutefisk many years ago. Tried it once, never again. Potato Sausage and Ostkaka we make at home.
Not sure what your laws are in NE, do they require and chimney inspection and sweeping prior to selling? If not, you might want to, put some $$ aside for that, or a brush if you will be doing it yourself.
jtstromsburg your gonna need an Avatar and signature... seriously, welcome. And be prepared for frequent threadjacking and derailments. Speaking of derailments, wheres the engineer? Eric VW where ya at bud?
Thanks! Not much "official" laws in my town. Heck, our town inspector has asked me questions before on properties. I'm young but have been fortunate to work for some intelligent contractors who thought me lots. Now, I'm the maintenance director for a small school district(head toilet cleaner). The house I bought(signed and started paying the bank last April) is owned by a good friend. He's helping with the whole stove process. Sweep and all. He's been burning in this stove for 18 years so has a great handle on it and is very happy to share his knowledge. Looking forward to burning next year, and learning all I can in the mean time.
We were in Grand Island last June for the 4-H National Shooting Sports Championship. If you could cut split and stack corn stalks, you would be set for life!
If you could cut split and stack corn stalks, you would be set for life!
I'm sure I could, just not sure how to burn them without making Ethonal? Don't need any of that around Messing up my saws!.
Hello from Virginny jtstromsburg It's great that you're already putting up wood.... As many have said, you're going about it the right way for sure. Maybe we can see yer saws soon? PS- don't know what bobdog2o02 is talking about.... I've never derailed a thread from say, the top of the Grand Canyon all the way to the bottom, then on down the river, only to re-track somewhere around Antartica
Welcome to the hood jtstromsburg You're gonna like it here, I guarantee it---And most are certified addiction counselors so ask away.... Nice to meet ya
Yeah, I thought of that right after I posted and looked at your name again. I grew up in the small town of Greeley, NE and have a brother in Columbus. Now stuck in the big city. Never burned a stick until 8 years ago.
I'm sure I could, just not sure how to burn them without making Ethonal? Don't need any of that around Messing up my saws!.
Welcome!! My folks are just S/W of you, Aurora. Lots of good people in your neck of the "flats".
Almost the same here, one set of grandparents direct from Norway, the other direct from Germany. Nobody is a fan of lutefisk. Welcome to FHC jtstromsburg ! I agree with Backwoods Savage regarding the newer more efficient stove. Just think of how much further you'll be ahead of you use less to do the same, or heat even better.
