    Yes, I came home to find a small tree gone that I had planned on cutting, they left one piece and turned the rest into mulch. Dang it, that is BTU wasted. They did leave the large pine which I will let season a few years so it is dry; or how long does pine need to season?

    Once split and stacked, it could take less than a year to dry enough to burn under the right conditions.
    Get that done right now, and it will probably be ready this fall.
