So are we looking at a meet and greet to set camp on Friday PM, Demo, Labor and Eatin' day on Saturday, and a Sunday AM departure?
I'm in for sure, either weekend I can make work. I will likely be pulling a trailer up there. I can carpool with DexterDay and a few other local guys if they want to. I'll have my truck(4 door) so can haul a few people in it. Also I told Dennis I can bring a big grill so will put that on the trailer. Will a UTV be beneficial Backwoods Savage? I'll have a trailer and honestly could fit a UTV, grill, and splitter on there if needed along with plenty of room for saws ect.
All of the above Shawn. Passport might be okay and save some mileage. You would come into MI at Port Huron and continue west to Davidson (East of Flint). Then jog north to M-57 and head west. That way you'd miss Flint.
For you or anyone else. Beware of flying via Continental into Flint as there is only one flight per day into Flint and you have to come through Cleveland. If held up, you'd be stuck for 24 hours.... Dang near happened to me once. So if flying, the best would be Detroit or Lansing, depending upon what flight you could get and of course, Flint is a good one depending upon which airlines you fly on. We are around 50 miles from Bishop airport in Flint, 55 miles from Capitol in Lansing and over 100 to Detroit.
But not up I-75. US-23 is a much better and shorter route. The two come together just south of Flint.
Don't bother with a splitter Sean but the utv could come in handy if you wish to bring it. We've already talked about the grill and that will be very useful!
I wanna go, I wanna go.. checking the schedule. .. yah Shawn Curry the 401 through Canada looks to save a few hours for me but I'm only an hour plus border from it... Does new York do enhanced driver licenses?
Weekend of the 23rd is fine here Dennis. Sounds like it was good with several others also. Grizz might be in and that date seemed to be best for him so…….
It sounds good, best I can say at this point is maybe. 2016 I believe is going to be an interesting year. Maybe an adventure is a better way to put it......God's got it all in control I know.
