One more trailer load and it's splitting time!

I still need to get organized as I have no way to move the dry wood to the front and the wet to the back. These pieces are so heavy, wah wah.

Nice looking stuff there. In answer to your dilemma, I make my stack open enough where I can walk around all sides of it. That way, I can pick off the south side this year and then the north side next year. Of course, the fresh cut wood gets stacked on the side of the pile that I used the previous heating season. Seems to work out well for me. Looks like you have the room to do the same...and no snow in your way either!

 

I just don't want to move any of this again, prior planning prevents------.

damm, that is a lot of chainsaw splitting. My back is cringing just thinking of being bent over for all of that noodling. Nice pile and well done though!!

 

This was the only way to get the pieces small enough without a splitter, no splitter available at the time.

 

It happens, and I feel your pain. Still some great wood and it will burn when the time is right
