Here's one for sale on Craigslist, and probably just in time. Wish I could see the rest of his install.

Other than the corrugated single wall vent going through the, what looks to be wood, window panel, nothing, it's textbook perfect.

I can hear the customer now..."where do I find dryer ducting and sheet plywood?, got any caulk to keep the draft out? How about the phone number to the fire dept?"

With that sort of setup on the stove, you probably don't want to see the rest.

You're probably right, I bet it's vented into a sunroom to keep it warm. :jaw:

Easy now...... That there is a fine contemporary work of art. Designer pipe to boot. Nice! He does have one element missing however. It is not sitting on shag carpet. And I also feel he should have just left the slat blinds all the way to the left and ran in between those. Maybe do a half circle in adjacent slats so the pipes look like they were always part od the scene while they are closed. Possibly paint a sunny day motif on the board just for a visual while they are open too.

Way cool! now if he could just remember where he set his crack pipe and lighter life would be wonderful again.

I have to wonder if the window/"venting" is new from a previous fire?

all funny until a tech gets called over because for some reason the stove isn't running. The tech sees it, tells the owner the install isn't up to code, the stove is safer NOT working, and to bring it up to code will cost about $700-800. What happens then, you ask? Homeowner tells tech he is crazy, must be 'on something', that the thing has run fine, so ipso facto, the install IS correct (maybe the guy at Sam's told him how to do it?)......and tech has just done a house call for free, since he isn't gonna get paid to fix it, and some other customer who had a legitimate problem now has to wait because of this idiot. Caveat Emptor!
