good morning , hope you guys are all wood warm today. i am warm from some hard maple cut the summer before last. good heat from free wood! a month ago i was give 10 skids of ash and oak rounds at my neighbors. all i had to do was help cut what i wanted and move it. he used a skidloader to clean up. i will split this spring and will have to start on 3 big ash on my place that are near the shop. the EAB is giving me all the wood i can ever use, and will help with establishing a 3 year stockpile. happy day
1964 262 6 welcome to the land of BTU's. I'm keeping warm with a load of red & post oak. Snow is in the forecast, so no wood processing today.
pics are always my weak link. i can take them, but never get any farther. i don't store pics anywhere to give a link. i wish i could.
If you take pics, FHC makes it easy to share them. See that "upload a file" box below the text spot? Click on that, select a file, and whalah! Welcome to FHC 1964 262 6
Welcome to the forum 1964 262 6. You are burning wood that was cut a year and a half ago? Great! Most new folks are trying to burn what they cut last fall. Not a good start. Don't worry about the pictures if you can't save them and post them. We'll live through it.
Welcome to the forum. If you actually wanted to store and post pictures it is very easy. Step 1 is dump them to your computer. After that a membership in a place like Photobucket is free and you can just dump any pictures you might want to share there. Basically you log into your own account and then call up the picture on your PC. Photobucket will let you just drag a picture file to their web site to make it upload. Doing that does nothing to harm the picture on your PC but it does make a copy on line. Once you have the picture on line you can use it wherever you want. I am on 4 motorcycle forums and am a member of about 6 tropical fish forums as well as 3 other wood forums so I never know where I might want to use a picture. If I want to share a picture I just go to my free Photobucket account and copy the IMG link to the picture I want to share. Then I come here or to almost any other place and paste the link in as so much text. The end result looks like the picture is right here although you can find out where it really is by right clicking the picture and reviewing its image info. Here is a winter scene sample that I first shot to use on a bike forum.

That was a crazy game. Too bad that they threw it away with 2 stupid penalties to allow the field goal.
