What were you planning to use it for Dennis? That's a small tank that would be OK for tires and maybe a blowoff nozzle but probably not good for air tools..

That is what I want Ray. No air tools here so just for tires like on atv and trailer. Maybe car if it needs it. Also for the blowoff nozzle to make cleaning up a bit easier.

Probably perfect for that.. I have an 8 gallon compressor that's great for tires and some air tools too..

Would work good for those uses. Light weight too.
3 gallon would work small air gun, stapler.... size tools.

I got a small 12 volt one, works off the truck or atv battery .
Has come in handy a few times.

I have a 12 volt too. Actually a couple of them. One works great while the other is questionable. I like to keep the good one in the car if possible. If I got the HF one, then it would allow me to do it.

However, how do you think this would work in this cold weather? At zero degrees, would it even run?

I almost bought one of those a few months back for the uses you mentioned because my big one was giving me problems but I got it figured out. My wife's uncle has one of those and I think they work fine.

Those electric motors great in the cold Dennis. I had an 11 gallon version of that for a couple of years and it always worked cold or hot. I sold it a few years back and upgraded otherwise Id still have it.

We have the six gallon Porter Cable pancake air compressor, it's a nice little unit.

My dad has one. It is fine for the uses you describe. Its not a very heavy duty unit by any stretch of the imagination but it serves our purposes when me and the boys are helping pap around his place.

Sounds good. If I can get to the city, I'll probably buy one at that price.

I have one very similar to that one. I got mine at Menards. I bought it when remodeling the kitchen and bath so I didn't have to run air hoses from the big compressor in the barn. Works good for a trim nailer. I've used it for trailer tires as well. Not so good for car tires, but it will get the job done, just takes a while.

Thanks Pete. I'll let you know. But then, come to think of it, we have to be in East Lansing Friday. Where is the HF store near there? We'll be going in on old 78.

343amc, the car tires would only be to top them off if needed.
