Ya he is a good guy. gave me a few pointers, dose not really know much about mine though as it is a new unit last August.
Made a lot of sense to as to just try different things. What he said could very well apply to mine.

Great to hear. Make sure you post any successful changes here so we all know what you did to get your unit running A1.

Was able to get the rye but too late for the corn. The no tax on rye is a better deal already over pellets. Even with farmer corn is taxless. Might want to chat on your thread in the future as this is a furnace information thread but then again it might warrant to be here too.

I have an idea.. Let's all post up your serial #'s.

Quote this post (when you quote it, delete the "quotes" at the beginning and end of the list. That way it's not dark grey and it look like your post) and add your serial number. I'll edit it if need be. Or copy and paste my post and add yours below it)

That's a great idea on the pots and exhaust passages. Also the drop chute is different on old to new.

I promise I'm gonna add a lot of pics and info once the snowfall starts. I've been out of town on business and have had very little time of recent.

Rye eh? I prefer to drink mine lol. Joking, let us know how it burns. I think fuel info fits in with this thread. It's about the 50F issues, tuning and performance upgrades and beside airflow nothing affects a stove's performance like the fuel it burns!

Take note, this is last year rye seeds stored into a plastic container. Not a very tight lid, it starting to get mold forming on one side of a wine plastic holding pail.

I'd need to buy a ticket first. I invested my $2 in beer instead of a ticket. I haven't bought a lottery ticket in at least 5 years, maybe more.

I figure the odds of seeing bags of pellets walk from the barn to the basement and loading themselves in the furnace are about as good as winning the powerball drawing.
