Nothing gets my anger rattling its cage like a thief! :mad:I'm sure you have thought to keep your eye on ebay and local pawn shops. If he is stupid it will turn up there soon. If he is smarter it may take awhile to show up. If he is really smart he has a fence and you likely will never see it again. Can you make an insurance claim?

Yeah figured. What the hell good is insurance anymore anyway. Insurance co: "Oh you totaled your? We're glad... er... sorry to hear that. Here's 75% of the value of the car. Have fun driving around on 3 wheels sucker and GFY!" Just as bad as the punk who stole your saw.

Dear Husband lost a valuable silver WWII war ID bracelet, the police were able to check pawn shop inventory online. We never got it back:headbang:, but I thought your LEOs might have similar tools? Worth a phone call.....

That sucks. I lost a nice 3/8 drill motor to a thief last spring and was told by the sheriff that they knew exactly who the thief was likely to be but he never left enough evidence for them to get a search warrant. If he ever gets busted the sheriff has the drill motor serial number to compare and darned right I will be happy to prosecute that low life.

Now you're talking would serve them right. The only problem is they steal to support whatever their habit is. Sorry about your saw. I lost a saw and a nail gun last year wild they were trying to steal my splitter, they would have had it had the trailer hitch been on it.

Just hate it when someone's steals stuff. I faithfully lock up my van and truck when it isn't parked in my yard. I also cover up anything from view that might invite a thief. Those grab and go thieves are looking for easy pickings.

I am sure you probably already know this, but you need to report the saw as stolen to Stihl. They put the serial number in their database and if it ever shows up at a dealer for servicing or any other reason it gets flagged and the dealer is suppose to call the cops.
