    Yep -- Tough schedule

I worked midnight - 10:00 AM for a good number of years before moving to a daytime schedule. The night owl hours still haunt me which is why even several years into retirement I want that nap.

How can you get up at 2 AM? Is that golf course you work at still active this time of year?

I kinda like it very little traffic to deal with and I'm done by noon.

Yes one course stays open for the winter ,they were going to cut greens this afternoon.

I'm the first guy in so I open all the gates and buildings we blow off all the parking lots and roadways before the rest of the staff arrives much easier to do with no cars around.

I heard there were special "daytime" lights to help adjust from different shifts. I sent one to my aunt, but she never used it. FYI if it interests any of you:)

Sometime ago, I'm not doing much pellet burning this year as a result I'm not down in the dungeon torturing folks online as much as I was in the past. Been giving the what for to various places that handle pensions for former employers. Plenty of fun and games not. Have made a lot of progress on the home media collection. I get to watch Care Bears along with Thomas and Dinosaur Train with the youngest grand daughter. Second childhood and all.

Operation Washer is a success.

    Parts came in today, :ups:

New and Old Drain pump side-by-side:

Pic of old stretched, glazed belt:

    Pic of transmission pulley, cleaned:

    Pic of new snubber ring:

Pic of first wash test w/ front panel off:

Pic of a much needed Beer.
    HPIM0608.JPG

Biggest part of the job was cleaning everything up after 10 years of neglect - used "Barkeepers Friend" (Borax) mixed as a dry paste, and a small plastic bristle brush / decommissioned toothbrush to cleanup the pulleys, used pretty much every other cleaning tool in the arsenal to cleanup everything else,

Biggest potential 'gotcha' was reinstalling the springs between the base of the washer and tub - a 2nd helper to tilt the tub in the direction of the spring being installed is a HUGE help, makes reinstalling the base-to-tub springs much easier,

Washer drain line was snaked & cleaned / no issues there, all hoses and connections are watertight / no leaks, 3rd load of laundry is in the Washer now.:yes::yes:

Tomorrow's project: pull the front panel off the Dryer and vacuum the living daylights out of it / show it some love, 'cause it will quit working just out of spite, real soon now.

    Smoothie Time! :cheers::cheers::cheers:

Very nice! Glad it all worked out, don't you love it when your patience and hard work pays off in the end? Especially like the gratuitous miller lite photo. Will is wearing off on you.

Picked the truck up from the shop today. There was a sensor in the transfer case encoder motor that had developed a mind of its own, which explains why the 4WD was freaking out. Also got a new set of rear brakes compliments of a GM recall. No complaints from me about getting the rear brakes done at no charge. All good to go for the foreseeable future. Good timing as it sounds like we may get our first real snow of the season starting Sunday.

Thomas the Train gets on my nerves, so does Cat in the Hat. Care Bears and Dinosaur train are pretty cute.
