Got my mantle leveled out and in place to finish off the hearth! Took me most of the summer due to other major house projects but here it is! I did everything but the heavy lifting my self. Already had a couple fires in the 30 but its too warm inside tonight.

Jake, that's a very nice looking hearth, and a very clean install! Goes very nice with the color of the room, too! I've been burning small fires here and there on the nights it gets down into the low 40's, to keep the morning chill away.
I'm getting ready to build a small fire in the NZ3000 here shortly.....it's pouring down rain and cool here, time to take the chill off of the house.

Thanks Scotty! I know you wanted to see the finished product still have to trim it out but I got excited when everything was in place. We just painted the room last week before the hearth was done. The inside of the house is nearly finished after two years

Ill put a better one up with a fire going when its all trimmed out. Wish the budget would have let me do more granite work but just wasnt there. Im happy with the outcome though and its awesome knowing I did 90% of it myself.

The few fires I've had in the 30 have been great. Can't wait to see what she can do this coming season. I know the burn times per load are double if not not more than my old stove.

Northeast Al- thank you and yes sir! Im in the granite state and am operations manager for a granite curbing company so I had to go with it! It was quarried across the valley from my house. I can see the quarry from my deck.

It looks great. First time I've seen granite used like that, and is like it.

    Looks gorgeous Jake....

You should be very proud of the work accomplished. And the color of that room? Stunning. Goes great with the Granite and the sexy steel stove sitting there.

That 30-NC is a great heater. Should serve you well for many years to come.

    Nice job Jake.
    Now, where's the fire? Hmmm?
I'm leaning closer and closer to getting the 30 and I need to see fire in that bad boy.
Saw one in person today.....again. Tried to get it to follow me home.

Looks great. That futon will be the warm seat of the house.

I have the futon cover back on it and I am putting a couch with two recliners on either side in front of the 30. Should be my seat for the winter  The hearth is the center piece in my bar room which should be completed tomorrow!

Blue, they are porcelain, I looked at the real slate and couldn't find what I wanted. Save, Floor is concrete. Hearth is on the first floor of my raised ranch.
