I'll try the stove temp to see how it works...
Keep in mind... this is new to me, I am not afraid to experiment with it.
Stove temp may well be the way to go... but I won't know if I just set it and forget it,
    without experimenting..
As for going through hoops, I don't know that it is any harder
    than running stove temp..
I turned two knobs two days ago, and have not touched it since..
Either way, you have to tinker until you get the desired "stove" temp..

I'm saying if I read the how two's correctly, the blower will not run UNDER setting 4 or 5..
The heat will go out the stack..
could be wrong... sure wouldn't be the first time!!! :emb:

I run most of the time in stove temp, feed rate 4, heat setting anywhere up to 4.5 and my blower always runs. Maybe they changed? Just curious, try your stove that way next time you're near it and see.

Dan if you leave the igniter toggle switch in the auto position, when in constant burn mode (the "new" term for stove temp mode), then the blower will always run. The blower only turns off at temp setting 5 or lower IF the igniter toggle switch is set to manual.

I always leave the igniter switch on auto, whether I'm in room temp or constant burn mode. Still, I always have to spend some time playing around with the temp dial when I switch modes because the heat output is affected quite a bit. In room temp mode with the temp dial set at 4 I will get a certain amount of heat. If I switch to constant burn mode, I have to increase the temp dial to get the same / similar amount of heat I was getting in room temp mode. I've always wondered if there is a public document that explains the specific ESP temps that correspond to each number on the temp dial. E.g. Temp 4 = ESP temp 350 degrees, Temp 5= ESP temp 400 degrees, etc. Haven't found such a doc yet.

This is what the different control panels look like. The first one (stove temp) is from the 2008 P68. The second one (constant burn) is from the 2014 P43.

Didn't even have to pay extra for the "color" option, imagine that!

First cold night for the Revolution. Had it set on program #1 (of 4), running on level #2 (of 5) and the house was 69 degrees when I got up this morning. 13 degrees outside. Lots of BTUs to spare, and things were nice and toasty.

Very nice - sounds like the furnace has plenty of pellet-burning horsepower to spare!

Sounds like the Revolution is dialed-in and running very well - Congrats!

Thanks for posting that snippet. Neither of my manuals even mention leaving the switch on Auto when in Stove temp (constant), so I never thought about doing that until someone else from another forum said that was what he was doing.

I've tried it with the P43, and I like that I can control the fan at all times regardless what the temp knob is at. Also, since the P43 is attached to a thermostat, when it is on Room Temp and I switch to manual, the blower goes out when the room temp is satisfied - regardless where my temp dial is at (I tried it at 85* dial and the thermostat at 72).

I've only used the stove temp/auto a couple of times to try out since the room / auto / thermostat seems to be working fine for keeping the bedrooms warm enough - so far.

That snipit was from the online manual on the P68. I first looked at another model and it did not mention the blower operation. I cannot imagine that the operation differs from stove to stove so I dont know why there would be different explanations?

Edit-Room Temp Auto for me is usually reserved for the normal colder months where the stove is running 24/7.

Good info that's what I was wondering.
My stove never went into shut down mode and couldn't get the downstairs above 72 last night on high with the thermostat set at 74 . So the results were an always on . As a foot note I felt that the high blower speed was causing to much turbulence in the air and created a drafty feeling in the basement . I've switched back to med which I feel will let the heat build and rise up the stairs .

I understand your concern. My CB1200 was running on high everything last night and the sides were getting a little hot so I was concerned that maybe a wire might have a melt down so I even shut the stove down for maybe 15 minutes just to be on the safe side. As I mentioned above I'll go with the med setting and a always on approach during extreme cold weather.

As I said last night during our discussion, I experimented right off with the stove temp setting..
And it does indeed react very much like the settings that I had. (the low feed rate method).
Blower stayed on, fire remained steady... Like you... it was not exactly the same,
so this morning it was colder.... BUT, to be fair, I also did not run the Doug Firs...
But I know it is different, regardless..

So... the result, from "my" results are...
There is little to no difference, between running the low feed/room temp high setting,
and the stove temp/auto with usual feed rate (3-4), and finding the sweet spot for
    the temp setting.
Either way... they both require finding that sweet spot for what you want...
And the blower runs where you put it....
I will probly keep it in stove temp, with the feed at 3-1/2 - 4,
as this is what I use for room temp..
Then, it means just changing one setting..

So the end result is... the same.
Like getting to the Mall either via turnpike, or not.
    You get there either way....

Been interesting. This is what it's all about....

Been reading through all these Harman posts and what I found most interest in is how you were using the settings before the thread. Essentially it is the same way most other stoves run when choosing a manual setting. Only difference I can tell is the Harman would have more steps, for lack of a better word. Like for me one stove has 5 settings (steps) and another 9.
More than one way to skin a cat and stay warm!

After reading above, I'm liking my one button stove even more.
