Must be something about having f150 in your screen name that stirs an interest in snackies...

I knew you knew where I was coming from.
Again, I'm nobody, but if my youngin' was reading over my shoulder, I'd want him to ask about anything BUT Richard!

Yea, I can't log onto hearth anymore, no loss.

Btw, does it bug anybody else how many MOVING advertisements there are on AS? I can literally watch them all load.

    BS, my duck is bigger.
OTOH a proper moderating philosophy will go a long way to keeping things friendly. I once worked as a mod on a tropical fish forum, one of the busiest in the world. What we found, me and the other mods, was that if we all were very open with the people that we had to correct and put on probation or other restrictions by telling them exactly why we were interfering and what they needed to do differently, the membership tended to be self regulating and we only had to intervene on maybe 10% of the rules violations. The rest died out fast because members understood they could only go so far and no further. I can only hope that the moderating philosophy here is close to what I used to use 0n that forum. I was a member of a lot of other competing forums at the time and the mod philosophy differences were glaring to me, as a mod myself.
I even, as a moderator, went so far as to sign up as a member of a competing forum specifically so that I could communicate with the mods on the site. We had an accusation that one of our members was stealing content from that other site and I wanted to confirm it before imposing any sanctions. The outcome is immaterial, the real message is that a mod must be willing to make that extra effort before taking extreme actions against a member. Once a mod knows what he/she needs to know it is time for decisive action based on the facts. IMO a copyright violation is about as bad as it can get and will get a site into severe legal issues if it is allowed to go on without being corrected.
