OK, who saw the movie and what did you think of it? We went to see it on Wed. Really liked it a lot, but couldn't help feeling a bit of deja-vu. It seemed like many of the major plot points had already been covered in the prior movies. We watched the original Star Wars: A New Hope movie the night before we went, and that was probably a mistake, because it really made the made the new movie feel like somewhat of a reboot. Oh, and Kylo Ren could be Professor Snape's twin brother. Anyway, no spoilers please in case anyone hasn't seen it yet and still plans to.
It's on my list of movies to see, and I hope I don't miss it in theatre. Been really busy and it keeps getting put on the back burner.
We went and thought it was a good movie....weak on plot, but a good follow up to the first three movies ( which it follows chronologically) I thought it was much better then the most recent three movies. I think it showed how bad Carrie Fischer is of an actress though.
It was good, I believe the little bit of dejavu was needed to wrap up some old characters..... They did lay the groundwork for i think another 4 movies though. I like that it didnt have kiddie bs in like the episode 1-3 pod racing bs.
If those are the parts of episode 1-3 you dont like then your in for a treat. New characters and good writing, but as stated earlier some reoccurring themes.
I went with my wife, son and daughter and her boyfriend. My 10 year old son and I watched the first two movies this week before seeing the force awakens. Everyone liked it but my son said he thought everyone looked old. I guess I looked different in 1977 as well! I didnt realize it was in 3d was it that way for every one? There were some real cool 3d affects. Cant wait to see this movie again.
I was going to give a spoiler alert. No he's not in it. Here's jar jar's new mini feature film http://gifsec.com/wp-content/uploads/GIF/2015/05/Jar-jar-Binks-Gif.gif?gs=a I loved the movie. It was a great set up for the next few films.
Watched it yesterday with my dad, brother, and his 3 boys. I enjoyed it & the kids loved it. There's only a few moments that made me cringe instead of half the movie like I-III.
I'm waiting for Star Wars and Star Trek to combine in some way. (speaking through a cardboard tube) Come to the Dark Side!
