    Looks like many of us will be hit with some more typical January weather soon. I see highs in the teens coming up but short lived at least. Methinks we'll all live through it regardless of what the weather forecasters want us to think. Funny how they all seem to now want to forecast doom and gloom when it is just normal weather that is coming. "But millions of people will be affected!" Right... Does saying that stupid statement change what the weather will be?

    Oh no say we aren't going to see more normal temperatures.... I don't about you but these last 7 to 10 days has been easier to keep the stove rolling than all those new start ups.

    Yeah next few days lows might go negative.. oh how will I survive 3 whole days of average temperature. .. :eek:

    Organized the wood room today. Gonna shut down the TR 18 and fire the big guns tomorrow nite .
    Only have about 3 days of shoulder wood anyway.
    Will be a nice break from hauling wood in. Wood room is stacked with 5-6 weeks worth.

    Should be fun. Not too worried about surviving, but the new Fireview has raised the family's expectation of how warm the house should be. While 65 used to be the furnace setting, the wife has upped the pressure on me and raised it to 68. So far so good, usually the house is between 68 and 70 by 6am. May need to load the stove full and/or load it later than 9pm to keep it at 68 or above.

    Im ready for the cold to set in, its been pretty mild here in northern Kentucky. I would like to get some snow for sure, but im ready for it the wood rack is full. Currently 25 degrees outside and ive got the drolet tundra loaded and the house is a toasty 75

    My stove is running very well. I have my pellets stacked up where I can get to them. Often so hot in here I find it hard to stay in the same room with the stove.

    I've built more fires this year than the past 5 combined....not burning 24/7 sucks. Id rather burn hard or not at all. Bring the cold.

    Yep was 67 in the old house, 64 at night with some blankets. Now in the new house with the wood stove its 72-74, 24/7. 70 feels chilly in the morning now! Funny how that tends to happen.

    I manage to keep 3200 sq ft at 76 degrees......burnng a full cord per week. Ready to go though, bring on the cold:dex:
