I'm an ISU fan but I was hoping the Hawkeyes would pull something off.

I hear you on the fair weather fans. There was talk about getting rid of Ferentz at the beginning of the year and ticket sales were not doing good, once they started to win some of those "fans" started showing up again in black and gold. I like my neighbors but they are perfect examples.

My take on the halftime is that the Stanford band are just a bunch of punk kids and a director who wants attention...let's not give them anymore. Besides it's just a game after all.

 

2nd time I've seen that mentioned... what happened with the band?

 

Some saw their show as disrespecting Iowa farmers....oh well. As a lifetime Iowan with farming/FFA roots I don't expect that to change...ever.

I bought a new trailer. As soon as I get er hooked up I'll grab some pictures

 

Got the outside of the chimney cleaned. I realized just how little wood I've burned this year...I've usually cleaned it twice by now...but this was the first and got hardly anything out of it. I'll do the inside after the stove cools down some more.

 

Took a walk down to the bog area behind my house. A couple more cold nights and should be good for cutting up these fallen trees and tops (8 red and white oak - some down a long time). I'll be cutting and transporting the rounds with a sled to a pile area where they will stay until I can get my garden tractor and cart to haul them back to the house in the spring.

 

I saw the result, just not the game. Also, the game on NYE? Seriously? That won't happen again. ESPN and the cillege football playoff committe learned a huge lesson on that. It tanked in the ratings department.

Uh yeah, someone that really needs all 8.1 liters. Usually it's just an excess thing. That's how it was with my friend that bought an 8.1 Chevy when they were new. He used it to tow a 17 ft 305 powered IO runabout. He had to get a bigger truck than his buddies 5.4 f250. Lol


PCM actually marinized these 8.1 v8s for ski boat use as well. They were called Python motors. Some people like them, but they had more issues than the small block v8s that were plenty capable.
