    Thanks once again for the prayers everyone. As of last night he had been off the ventilator for almost 8hrs and breathing on his own! They're still slowly reversing the sedation meds because when he starts to wake, he is pizzED. But it's a good sign. They still don't know how much brain damage he may have suffered but we've taken a few steps in the right direction thank God.

    Well guy's im sorry for the roller coaster of updates.

    As of 8pm he has been transferred to hospice care. He'll be kept comfortable and won't have to fight the pain any longer. The doctor's confirmed earlier that even if he did recover from this latest episode that the cancer would most likely take him within a few months.
    He believes in Jesus Christ and knows that he will go live his everlasting life in heaven, pain free. He will go be with God when he is ready. Thanks for all the prayers and kind words guys.

    Thanks for keeping us updated Piney.....praying for strength for the family. The good part is the last sentence even though it is still hard on those around him.
    Quick little story, when my Father in law passed on Christmas 7 years ago we were at the funeral home talking and someone said I just don't know how people deal with this sort of thing when they don't know Jesus. Funeral director was coming past and heard it, he said I can tell you how they deal with it, "not very well"

    Well my dear friend "stoney" went to be with the Lord tonight. He lived a darn good life, had a wonderful wife, raised 4 beautiful daughter's and was caring for his grandson. He could put a smile on anyone's face even on their darkest day. Words can't describe how much he'll be missed but he's no longer suffering.

    Thanks again for all your prayers and kind words. You guys truly are a second family. :tears:
