I'm rocking a full load of oak tonight, fans on low and stat at one tick above low. THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME!!!
Speaking of belly full I better get up from this computer and feed the Buck. Good night boys and girls
rdust. You're nice clean stove reminds me of when mine was new. Not quite so clean anymore, some scratches on the ash lip under the door. :-(
That N/S loading looks pretty nice. Pretty sure that one split would not fit through the load door on my stove. How long will that load go before you need to reload?
Just shy of 12 hours and the stove temp is a touch over 300*. The inside temp has been 70-71 since I loaded. Beside for the bigger split and the one to the left its all soft maple. I'd guess if I let it go it would go 15 hours give or take with a 300ish top temp. My wife just told me we have a birthday party for a friends kid around noon so I'll toss a few splits in before we leave for that.
Very nice! I've had one overnight burn go 12 hours where I was over 300 at the end, but that was nearly a full load of white oak. Getting 12 hour burns and being able to keep the house at the temps you want is fantastic. Been musing about installing a BK King in the basement - would love to have that beast running on a 24 hour load schedule. Just dreaming really ... can't afford the cost and it would never pay for itself, but that doesn't stop my from thinking about it.
