Eh, technically not really, but big hills.

Big enough for skiing and boarding.

I just topped of the stove with 2 nice big splits of beech. On the bed of coals it's got now, it's going to be putting out the heat for a few hours.

Should be a nice day in the 20s. Warming all 12 or 13 toes of mine (I haven't counted recently) by a fire of elm and honey suckle.

29 this morning, nothing going in the Liberty yet, haven't been downstairs since last night.

We'll be pushing some Beech & Sugar Maple in today for this little 3 day cold front coming in starting Sunday night.

    Happy New Year

It's probably somewhere around 500 feet. Not the Rockies, but we take what we can get around here. I have another mission today which doesn't require a huge hill. I have to get my 4 year old started on the skis. We'll be on the bunny hill much of the day I'm sure.

They call it a mountain. You can still get going pretty fast, and I'm a novice. I do plan on getting out west at some point for all that fresh powdery stuff.

Oh yeah, you can get going well there. The last time I was there my buddy broke his arm while boarding. That was fun until that happened.

We have things around where I live in the piedmont that are called mountains. There just unusual hill features. Maybe similar to what your talking.

Ski slopes on the east are in the appalachains. Not random hills around the piedmont or foothills of moutains

High of 32º today and the wind is blowing like a banchy outside right now. Stove is rockin' on some ash and cherry, dragging out the thermals and getting ready to put Christmas away till next year.

We have 28° predicted for today and planning on doing the same thing. Might leave the lights up though as the roof has 5" of now and not so sure I want to be laying in a hospital bed for the first week of the new year!

It is a little stove with an approximate 2.1 cf firebox. Some don't like it as it is certainly more ornate than your typical black box stove. We soapstone fans don't have the huge selection that steel and cast fans have to choose from. I replaced my old Hearthstone Harvest with this Woodstock Fireview. The Hearthstone was even more fancy as it was Ivory Enamel and the soapstone was polished. Here is a picture of it. So, for me I've actually downgraded in the fancy department. :) Huge upgrade on burn times, ease of use and improved heat output.

I'm still going with tiny!!! 2.1!

My little farm stove is 1.6 or so maybe 1.7 and its TINY!! My other two are both in the 3.5-3.65 cuft range so Yea its still tiny .

Very cant though. Not my taste but still fancy.

Hey, you just downgraded my stove from little to tiny! OK, technically it is 2.18 cf but I'm told it is more like 2.0 that you can actually use. Perhaps tiny fits ....

That is a lot of heating power. I could have installed the Woodstock PH at 2.85 cf but I thought it was too big for my needs. :D

I've been burning only about 3 months with this stove, but I'm rather fond of my "tiny fancy blue rock". Might just have to add that to my sig ...
