I'm up.

 

4-5" clearance is a royal PITA. My honey's Chevy Avalanch has stupid clearance especially for a full size truck to the point that you might hit a cement parking space marker when you park head in. WTF ? Does that really do anything except make you cringe when it hits?

I can change the oil on my Honda Ridgeline without lifting the truck at all. Cant even think about that on the Avalanche.

 

Not as bad as we could be........ . And I cant even blame

The 75 mile thing was the reason we bought the Gas powered model.

The other thing is that I tend to keep rigs a while, and the thought of replacement cost on the battery is

The little 3 banger engines are made by Mitsubishi and the rumor is that they are a very dependable unit.

A local grocer has a Smart with 200 K on the clock and it still runs great.

The electric is so quiet though, and the go like a scalded cat.
I can't keep up with an electric on a fast get away.

Fun little rig though.

With about a 300 mile range on a tank of go juice it's a winner.

For our Friends from the NORTH country, IIRC you can get these little hamsters with a diesel engine. 60 +++ mpg

 

I run all weather tires on the BURB year round and standard street tires on the Smart

This is the first time that we have not had all 4x4 rigs.

Used to both drive Burbs, but really don't need two any more.

 

Yesterday we got the mail and there was a super coupon flyer from HARBOR FREIGHT
in the box

Sooooooooooooo, we tooled on over to the store and got our "Harbor Freight" fix

The had 4000 watt gen sets on sale for $279 so decided to get one for a backup.
Our big diesel 20 KW unit needs a new fuel tank and we have been procrastinating on that endeavor.

We have a 25 plus YO Coleman 1750 watt suitcase gen set, but its getting troublesome, so was time for a fresh one.

With this new set the power will not go off (Wishful thinking)

And of course, when you are at HF you must scour the aisles to fondle all the TOYS

 

Same for me. But, my mini van has Generals all seasons on this year. I had run winter treads, but really, I don't go out when it is snowing or slippery. There are three other 4 WD vehicles in the yard should push come to a shove.

 

Love to go in there. Can't be up on my feet much longer than 10-15 min. so my time in there is short at best. Love picking over things, but can't buy much because I have no place to put anything. I catch hell anytime I bring anything else home. I must admit I have many things I've bought home, and they still are in their package.

Got to tear into washing machine more yesterday. The washer had a tub seal leak -> clutch & brake are toast from being soaked -> the transmission is 'questionable' from all the clutch & brake junk, and the drain pump doesn't sound too wonderful either. Off to find a (cheap) used replacement washer on CL today, to tide us over for a month, or three.. Still waffling on whether to fix, junk, or cannibalize..

 

I have a shredder with the predator engine. The same as what's in that genny. I can say that the engine starts real easy and seems to run strong. Reviews are pretty positive so I think you will have good luck with that unit.
I was going to purchase the same one, but ran into a sale at Tractor Supply for the Champion 3500 watt unit for $249 IIRC.
