    Yea actually the house is heating really good right now, wind switches to the south Tuesday and then it might not be so nice.
    50 below wind chills in the forecast for tomorrow, lucky the winds will be out of the North.

    How are you holding up with these frigid temps?

    Well the house was chilly for several days last week, had some cold (-20s) for a few days and then a day with some cold south winds, not a happy camper.
    Warms up a little and gets cold again and now the house seems to be heating a lot easier, not sure what happened.
    Fixed a few air leaks but not enough to make much difference.
    Stove works great when it like this, load it up house gets to 70 and hangs at 67 to 70 even with the coals until I load again.
    I think the insulated curtains will make a big difference and make the stove work well enough for me to like it.
    I might do a few stove mods over the summer but nothing dramatic.

    A lot of the schools are closed tomorrow because of the cold.
    Lucky its a north wind, south wind at those temps would have me dropping body parts around the house.

    Would you be willing to try a BK King or the larger Buck stoves with a 6" liner? Isn't your chimney rather tall?

    Only 18 feet but it seems to draw well.
    Not sure how a King would work on a 6 inch chimney.
    4 cubic foot fire box would be nice.

    Could you fit an 8" liner in that chimney? Do you have a spot for a second stove?
