Chewers? Meet your match. XXL kong, lube a 4" boiled beef femur with peanut butter, and jam that bad boy inside the kong.

Just being a houndog. No blood, but SUPER sensitive, big dose of sedative at the vet, once he figured out she wanted to mess with his toe, he would have nothing to do with her.

Hmmm, weird time of year for an allergic reaction, unless it's food, have you changed anything?

Is it bothering you, or is it hindering the hound? I've seen what looks to be worse than that on our dogs from time to time and it never bothered the dog for more than a few minutes. After a nap for a few, is like they never had an issue.

Nothing changed that we can think of. He does cough once and a blue moon when running outside. Benadryl to rule out weak tracia. If tracia, will need a stent down the road when hes older.

Yeah, it's been festering for a week, I was leaving it be cuz after he's up and going for awhile he seems pretty normal. Seems to have gotten a bit worse in the last day...covering it up all the time, snapping at the other hounds if they get near him, just trying to help him out so he's not uncomfortable.

Anybody else have a vet that uses this laser therapy? Seems you can use it on a bunch of different ailments...wound healing, arthritis, sprains, strains.

Did the vet remove the broken nail? I can see the rx for reduction of inflammation, but I know that if a person had a nail split and apt to be caught on something, it would be removed.

No, she left it on, said it should protect the exposed quick a bit, not sure about that, I think she was a bit intimidated by him, he was not happy with her, not aggressive, but very defensive. We will be going to my regular vet on Monday if things don't get better over the weekend.

Do you know about the laser therapy? I was a little suspicious of it, she handed me a pamphlet to read about it while the sedation was taking effect. Seemed a bit like snake oil lots of very generalized claims. I did read some positive articles about it on some reputable (AKC) websites last night.
