My neighbor around the corner said a couple weeks ago he is taking down the Ash tree in his front yard . Well as I passed his house on the the way to mine what do I spy? Yup , Ash tree in the rounds!!!He said take as much as I want so I grabbed a good bit of it.I will start splitting it saturday . Thanks for taking a look and Happy New Year !!!!!!!
Good day for you, being in the right place at the right time. Now I do want to say I am not to crazy about the Raven's and being from NY I am not a Giant or Jets fan either. Just so you know you should honor your home state and really take a good look at the Black and Yellow.
I am originally from Baltimore and will always be a Ravens fan. I had a good look at the Black and Yellow sunday and saw that we swept them this year As far as being in the right place at the right time , absolutely.
This will be my first.Gonna give the splittin' maul a workout this weekend though. My back is already thanking me.
Stretch a bottle of ibuprofen towards yer mouth first.... Me, hydraulics (& my wife operating it) is the only back relief I can deal with!
Ya'll did a hell of a lot better than we did this season 5 and 11.I honestly don't hate the Steelers cuz everytime we play ya gotta admit it's a good game. OTOH The NE Pats with Tom Lady.... Don't even go there .
Great score, Will keep your eyes open for more, there will be tons more coming down thanks to the EAB
only thing better is if you got paid to remove it. i burn lots of ash and it doesnt get any better for a quick drying all-purpose firewood.
Ash splits pretty nicely, but watch out of its a yard bird. Those knotty pieces will knot be fun. Trust me. I've got a lot of ash in my yard, big Yardbirds. I had to take a huge low hanging ash beam down and it was a pain in the ash to split with a maul. I had to take it to my buddies house to his hydro splitter. Then back home. No EAB here in my immediate area. I'm keeping it that way too.
yeah and especially the bottom 6-10', i got some wood from a 30" or so diameter ash and the rounds from the base were all so squiggly it ended up being barely splittable.
