Craigs List Pro App for chainsaws.

Anyone that use this app know how these notifications work?

I mean I know how to save searches and know what the notifications mean. But sometimes I get crazy things like 100 new items?? Click it and there is only like 12 things in the region then maybe an other 35 in adjacent regions,for a total of 53 listings. So how are there 100 new??? See the pics.

 

These are screen caps. It says there is 100 new. Then I select them and these are the 2 screens that I see. The first one with like 1-12 then the second page with like 12-50 something. Is there a page I'm missing or a place to click.

North of Augusta Ga but in SC. Greenwood county to be exact.

 

If you clear some of them will more appear?

 

Once I click on a search like the one that had 100 new ones those "new" tabs on the list go away. Most of those are not new been seeing them for weeks. But think If they mod the listing it renews it?? But you can't clear the listing you can hide them so there just text and not so noticeable but still there.Te whole thing just seems glitchy to me?

 

I haven't played with the app that much but so far I'm not impressed. Does anyone know of a better one?

 

I think this is the good one!! This is the Pro version. That second pic is the first page I see when I click that 100 new line. Its the area that the search is for. The last pic is the second page that you see by clicking the down arrow beside the 1-12, it has items dr surrounding areas.

 

I'm to cheap to pay for an app.

 

Its free but to have the notification feature u have to buy the app. I'm cheap to but some spend the $2 I did on this on cogs or beer or coffee in a day actually many times more.

 

They are 'new' in the sense that the ap is notifying you for the first time -- not new to CL

 

But that is not the first time the app notified me? Those searches been running for 2 weeks!! And where does the 100 number come from? There is not 100 total items in that search.

The way it should work as I understand is new postings should trigger a notification, about half the tine it works that way, ie I go into a search and see a new item.

 

I have had a lot of trouble with it I havent paid for it because the free version is so glitchy. Ill get notifications for stuff in Maryland, western Va, and random parts of North Carolina so far Ive only gotten two good leads on firewood through the app.

 

U get other locations cause CL now searches the adjacent locations and so it returns those. I get stuff from. Well over 200 miles but they posted in upstate sc CL and that's an adjacent region which makes it show up on my local CL search so it appears on the app too.

 

I use cPRO. The Ipad version works well.

Yep like french word for snails!! Caught that the first time. Yep I knew french at one time!! My brother is fluent in it as well.
