since i've been wiping down the glass and not letting it get dirty, i have noticed that the frame around the glass on the inside of the stove is also staying very clean.
the plates that hold down the window gasket, i mean.
they used to get all cruddy and i had to be careful with the wet paper towel that i didn't pick up stuff that would get on the glass while i cleaned it.

i guess that because the glass isn't all fuzzy, the ash doesn't get held up there long enough to stick to the door.

i advise everyone to quit their jobs to stay at home and keep the glass from getting dirty.

Kind of hard to miss, seeing as it's on TV pretty much every other commercial, when all the ladies are watching. ;)

Oh, and I was referring to the scene in the 'Matrix' where Neo was asked which pill he would like - the Red pill, or the Blue pill.

Y'all got your minds in the gutter..

I don't know about the rest of you, but Christmas was exhausting, fun, but it just tuckered me out. I didn't get dressed or go outside for two days after. Today, I finally got the energy to go get a haircut and to pick up some pet food. Looks like a sizable storm is getting ready to move in on us. Predictions is for 6-10 inches with some ice. To start about 4 Am. Sounds like a nice nap day to me!

Nothing like hearing rain and sleet on the roof when it's 25 degrees out.

Can't see anything now that it's dark out, but the branches on the spruce tree in the back yard look to be sagging a bit.

Nothing I can do about it. Generator is ready if needed. Time for another beer.

Out the door this morning at 4:30 and it was snowing - and sticking. Was at work for 11 hours, and of course the sun shone just to tease me. Got home and put on the windshield cover I got for the Explorer since the truck doesn't fit in the garage. Hoping that it works for keeping snow/ice off so I only have to shovel/snow blow the driveway before heading to work in the morning. Made sure both stoves are full of pellets and finally get to catch up on the forum.

Lost power a couple times for about 30 seconds each, then it came back on.

My biggest gripe about the Fahrenheit - a power interruption, no matter how brief, requires a full relight of the furnace. Doesn't matter if the power is out for 1 second or 1 hour. Seems that there would be logic that says if the proof of fire switch is satisfied, then resume normal operation.

I know, a UPS would solve the immediate problem. Just haven't bought one.

I'm not going to go through a 10 minute relight process tonight. I just flipped the switch on the oil furnace for the night. I'll relight the Fahrenheit in the AM.

Temps never got out of the 20's here today and already in the teens before the snow arrives. I used this as an excuse to throw a bag of Blazers in the hopper, although the MWP's were handling things just fine.
