Just reminds me of a guy teasing me about riding my Harley vs. his crotch rocket.

Told him the biggest difference is when we pull up to a red light with a plate glass window in a building alongside the street, I admire my reflection in the window while he turns and looks away.......

Unfortunately with today's drivers and their phones, all motorcycles could be called organ donors friends. No matter how safe we drive there is always some risk involved and all we can do is try to minimize it. I won't even ride a motorcycle on the road because of some of the accidents I have seen or heard of. I have also come up on a bad accident where cars and trucks were involved and I tried to help. Not nice to see, but I helped. So I prefer the protection of a car or truck.

I remind my wife and kids from time to time that it is not worth driving over to the school for a basketball practice when the weather is bad and roads are snow covered/slippery. You may be the safest, best driver in the snow, and then some young and inexperienced driver, OR A FOOL, can come along and lose control of his/her car and crash into you. If you just stayed home until the roads were cleaned up and salted, you would be safe and sound. Much better.

Can't say personally I prefer either. Both sound sweet and are aesthetically pleasing but....
Like Gasifier posted above, too many idiots on the road to risk being on two wheels let alone 4.

First time on in about 3 weeks, as I look at the page I was on the last time I was here, it was #961....
Talk about curve balls and life hitting you in the face. Taking care of my dad, even though he's in a home, is very time consuming, it saps the energy and time away. My daughter just had a baby on the 23rd of Dec., another exciting moment considering she was in the hospital 6 days trying to get that fella out. I had a few sleepless nights at her bedside doing my watch. A very exciting time, having my first grandchild come into this world. Christmas also entered into the mix, making everything come together was the hard part. I made it, Christmas was an good day but all involved was exhausted, we cut the day short just so we could all go home to get a nice nap in. Now hopefully I can find a little more "me" time and be here more consistently. I hope everyone is good, looking forward to catching up.

Are you driving your motorcycle on the shoulder of the road or sidewalk only?
