Waited until about 3 in the afternoon, then the temp just shot up to 58*. Must have had something to do with the sun finally breaking thru the clouds and fog. Was nice to have my sleeves pushed up while outside.

Very glad that all the rain we got was just that, rain, and not that white stuff.!

Shortly after 10:00 once all the gifts were opened and the phone calls to others were made. My son and I hit the lake and caught a few(a few brown trout and a pickeral). My wife took the dog so she could go for a swim(the dog not the wife). Had a hoot of a time and got our picture taken by a local news paper guy. Might make the paper tomorrow if they pick his shots. I'll post pic's later!!

Saw a fella out on a boat and before we knew it they were water skiing ? On xmas day?? Really. Water couldn't of been much warmer than 55°F and air temps weren't much more than 60°F. Couldn't tell but must have had a wet suit on.......

Saw many bikes out doing rides around the lake. everyone seemed to be really enjoying such a beautiful day!!

Edit: Pic's as promised(or it never happened!)...

You can see Jim taking some pic's of us.

Drinking a bottle of red wine with the princess, just finished having Christmas dinner and no short of Holiday treats. Premium beer later on with a family movie night. Will fire up the furnace tonite as the weather is going to get colder. Come to think of it, it was a green Christmas(a first for me and it was white a couple of days ago) and I seen a few flakes blowing about this morning.

    Today I turned this

Was hoping to get the foundation painted with water barrier masonry paint, but found a hairline crack between two blocks so I need to fix that first. Since all the stores had the nerve to be closed today :D, won't get that done until tomorrow. Once that dries and I get a couple coats of paint on, I will get rigid foam insulation up - that is the last section that needs insulation. Will replace the sheetrock next spring since that is nasty, crumbling and moldy.

Oh yeah, the new shelves are heavy duty, rated at 1,000 pounds per shelf and 5,000 pounds per unit, and I got them from HD for $90 minus my 5% discount. They are larger than the old shelves (48w x 24d versus 40w x 18d) so I can fit more chit on them .

I have until Thursday. I can't get into the building at work until Monday morning (someone has to let me in - then come and let me out). I don't have a choice on when I work on the report - only during the work week. Wednesday can't get into the building until 7 am. Thursday is even worse; I need to have 98% of the report done as I won't be able to get in until around noon - which is when the rest of the testing data is supposed to be available from our outside vendor.

    No pressure or anything

Why yes I did, thank you for asking :p. The shelves are 4 rails with a separate wire grate for the decking. If I installed the shelves as in the illustration of the assembly instructions, stuff would have slid off the back and sides of the shelves (from cramming too much chit on them :D). I chose to install the side and back rails so nothing could slide off, but I want to slide things off/on in the front. And, the bottom shelf rails are all installed so there is no block on any side as the boxes of pellet bags need to be shoved all the way to the wall. Actually I have to thank someone who did a review on the product on the HD website for bringing up the possibility of mixing the way the rails are installed. And yes, I know, that it most likely affects, to a degree, how much weight the shelves can hold - but I assure you that even I am unlikely to try to cram a half a ton of chit on a shelf.

Good question though since it does look a bit odd.
