    MERRY CHRISTMAS to the FHC STAFF. The FHC Family hopes you and yours have a Blessed Christmas and New Years.

    We just wanted to show our gratitude to you, The FHC Staff for all that you have put into this wonderful site that many of us call home. Please accept this little token of, $1052.14, for our appreciation for all the hard work you the staff do to keep this site the way it is and for keeping the vision that you had when you all started it, family oriented. Please use it as you guys see fit for site expenses or upgrades to FHC or whatever that you might need. I have PayPal'd the amount to Swags.

    One of the members here wrote this little pieces that summarizes this website wonderfully:

    FHC Staff,

    So often members refer to FHC as a great community, and it seems to be a fitting term.

    But what does "community" really mean – and is it really a fitting word to describe the site?

    The Oxford dictionary tells us: com·mu·ni·ty [ kəˈmyo͞onədē ]

    a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals

    There may not be a better way to describe FHC.

    But, with FHC, there’s even more to the story. FHC is a place where a group of uncommon people can gather to share uncommon interests.

    You’ll find our members are Engineers and Electricians. Landscapers and Lawyers. Foresters and Firemen. Moms and Mechanics. Retirees and Ranchers. Young and old. Rural and suburban. California to Maine.

    You’ll find this disjointed group of people discussing anything from firewood, chainsaws, port work, chain filing, wood stoves, beer, BBQ, God, guns, trucks, trailers, tractors, and everything else in between.

    Why all these different people come here, now by the thousands, may be a matter of opinion with no one answer, but the point is the same: You make this place happen. You keep it clean and classy. We appreciate the time and talent you put into it. Please accept this token of our appreciation so that this community can continue enriching the lives of all of us.

    Wow... I don't know what to say? We are just a small portion of this site.

    You guys and gals do all the work. We don't need moderators, when this site self moderates. So many times I have seen members post something when a thread gets out of line. You all only tolerate so much before you reel everyone back in.

    I'm sure others will say more than I have. But thank you.. All of you that contributed and even those that didn't. Your posts are contribution enough.

    I hope that Santa is good to each and every one of you!!

    Wow doesn't even begin to cover this amazing gesture. You guys and gals are truly amazing, every year I am extremely excited at how great everyone on here is. The generosity of everyone on here is just crazy! We see so much on here that you don't get other places, the people here really care about each other as we have seen many times. When members have issues everyone jumps to help and that has even gone much further with this group reaching out to loved ones like Phils wife and helping her out.

    I truly love being a part of FHC

    This is usually the first place I hit in the morning, and the last before bed, with several stops all day.
    The friendliness, camaraderie, Mayberryness, and all that is just the best (goodest).
    Glad to be a small part of it, since I've met (in a virtual way) a lot of GREAT people here.
