Ok, Phillip J. Fry. Did they ever find him? I remember when he went missing Jan 1, 2000.

How does the water transfer work? I've always just used a dremel to engrave designs in my saws and fill the engraving with black ink

I would like to see some of your work.

Marylandguy posted a video of the water transfer process back a few pages.

I haven't read the whole thread yet, so someone may have answered this already. I also do hydrographics. As far as the durability goes, it's all about the clear used. I have went through a few clears in testing and have landed on a gloss clear I like, and a matte clear I like. Mostly for durability (I do lots of gun parts). Having said that, anything can be worn out or scratched. A chainsaw would be an item that would get beat on a regular basis, probably much more than a gun would.

I had though I would do some stuff on some of my saws, but never did...Yet. It's a lot more work than most understand, but it is cool when it all works out.
