Did $810 on my new 441C-M. You could easily make money on those.

No way that 441 was a c-m. That's below cost IIRC. Or your dealer really likes you......

Why would I need to transfer warranty? This saw will never leave, as well as the 460. Bought new and have a love affair with them. :)

441 will live forever!! No need for warranty. (O.k.. No one mention that my 441 just went to the dealer on 1/2/14!!)

It wasn't the CM. I think they went up $40. Still around $800 or so. I do have a friend that buys a lot of saws and gets an even better discount than I do. I think the 441CM is under $800.

Are you sure. It's built a lot like a husky so it probably won't last a day according to the guys on AS:whistle:

Make a short list of what you want ,go to the dealers and look over the saws . Go with the saw and dealer you are most comfortable with .
Send it to Terry ,or Randy for porting . JK on the last bit .

Just checked my receipt for the 441, $760 is a great deal for sure, m-tronic or not. Mine (MS441C-M 24") was $736.00 and that was just a bit over cost for a top-tier non-elite dealer.

I haven't asked in a while. I kinda got over the want of it. I need to run one first before I decide it's the best thing since sliced bread. Now the 261Cm on the other hand:whistle::drunk:

I can't pick between the two (261C-M/441C-M) as far as a favorite. I will admit the 441 feels a bit bulky compared to say, a 440 and doesn't have the power of a dual-port 460 either. But it is far smoother to operate, cold starts much better, and goes the distance on fuel. I want to say the throttle response is quite snappy for a stock saw as well, whether that is due to the M-Tronic keeping the fuel on point or due to the ignition advance curve, I dunno. It also relieves you of cleaning the air filter after every tank of fuel too.

I run the stihls without the air filter cover most of the time and they stay much cleaner that way. They won't pack with dust and you can go all day usually. I do like Randy's 261. I was pushing on it and flexing it as far as it would go and not bogging it down. Crazy strong for a 50cc saw.
