    Ughh I want to click on the link but then again I really don't want to........ besides I don't have the patience to read 354 pages of something that the epa wrote. One of you should read it for me and then summarize it ;):thumbs:

    It is a proposal to make wood stoves burn cleaner. From 4.5 grams per hour to 1.3 grams per hour in 5 years. I will have to stop burning tires and such, obviously.

    Cats will be making a big comeback based on 1.3 grams per hour.. Either you will burn cat alone or hybrid stoves but no air adjustments?? Dunno how this will play out..

    Probably just end up outlawing wood stoves or making the regulations so tough to meet that it isn't economically feasible.

    We have a very old NG Lennox that's 73% efficient if I remember right. It's an ugly sucker and we don't run it if we can help it or we go broke trying. Our wood stove is rated at 2.83 gram/ hour.

    The date stamp is worn off but the furnace repair guy that came out a few years back said his guess was 1982.

    Mine at the farm is like a 73 or something!!! I put a stove in as I was tired of putting in $4 gallon diesel. Still use it to help get chill off when we arrive other in winter. I bring a few gallons of fuel every time to add.

    Its on borrowed time.
