I had been enjoying the mild weather with highs in the 30's and overnights in the 20's . Been burning since September but only about a cord so far. Now that real winter decided to show up I might actually get into my good wood and finish up shoulder season stuff.
I guess as a consolation prize, we got a light dusting last night--the kind that burns off by mid-morning.
I'd hope so, considering you are in the keweenaw. Brown Christmas here, rain 2 days before Christmas, then mid to low 40s for highs and lows in the mid 30s Christmas eve and day..... The good news is that my parents won't have any snow to make their travels tough down to my house or to my aunt's house after they stay here a few days.
My parents are in Tomahawk Wi, same 91-100% chance of a white Christmas as you have. It looks to be a brown Christmas there this year.
We have snow forecast every day for the next 10 days, except Christmas Day. Seeing we have 6 inches on the ground right now, yep looks like a white Christmas. I keep hearing about the so-called warm winter; that is what we had last year, while the rest of you were buried. This year, our weather is much more normal, i.e. colder and more snow.
Currently our extended forecast is 73* and rainy on Christmas eve and 65* sunny Christmas day but that will definitely change they were calling for 77* Christmas day two day ago either way it will be unseasonably warm and no fire
