Our amazing post office! Package mailed on 12/15 via priority mail, second day delivery. We just received a notice that the package finally arrived at the post office.....and is scheduled for delivery on 12/19. Is this really second day delivery? I wonder if we could get a refund on the extra dollars it cost?

However, this is not the first time it has happened and is why we usually send via UPS. But even then it takes 3 days for 2nd day delivery. We also laughed not long ago when we received a package from UPS that was next day delivery. It had taken 3 days to reach us.

I believe this is what today's "service" really means. Sorry, but I'm old school. If someone pays for something specific, that is what they should receive.

But, the good thing is the receiver should receive the package tomorrow. I hope he likes it.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

Be thankful you are not up here. The over-paid Canada Post drones take 1 week to process a 1st class letter from Ottawa, the national capital to Pembroke Ontario, a total distance as the crow flies of 84 miles............and the best part is the union thinks they are grossly over-worked and under-paid to boot......

I admit that I was late getting my gift ordered. And its status still says 'not shipped'. I hope they get it on its way today. It has plenty of time to get there by next Thursday.

    Aargh.

You are entitled to your premium that you paid for two day delivery.

I can't believe its taking that long.

When I was in greenville a few weeks ago I saw that the USPS was running on sunday!!

Fed ex is fastest but more expensive.

It takes one day longer than what u sent it by since that first day its getting in the system or if you bring it in too late in the day it effects when out goes out. I am talking about three day service when j pay for two

I won't send anything out UPS anymore. At least they aren't my first or second choice. They charge me for a pickup, "adjust" the freight charge (in a few cases, nearly 2x what their software quoted) without calling, and just cost much more to ship certain items than FedEx or USPS. Too bad too 'cause I like my regular UPS driver.

I have two fed ex hubs that service me. One is like 20 miles away and the other is like 65 miles away. No idea how they decide who deli ears to me? Cause they both do. My UPS is 60+ miles away and are good. They deliver over ton me cause amazon uses them.

USPS has been running on Sundays for years, but I think it was last year when they started expiramenting with Sunday deliveries in some area.

I've never had a problem with UPS. Fed Ex delivers here occasionally and have for many, many moons. However, just about 2 months ago we had a big problem with an order we had been waiting for. Then we received an email from them wanting to know where we lived? What? The truck has been here many times for many years and suddenly they can't find us?! I suggested to them that they look at the address on the package and go by that. They could also look us up on there GPS or even pull out a county map if all else fails. I finally went on facebook and wrote about it on the fed ex page. They got it straightened up in a hurry then. But I still find it hard to believe with a street address that they couldn't find me. Me thinks perhaps a party was going on rather than working.

It amazes me too. Companies will ask me the same thing. Like the phone or termite company??? I am like I am a customer...its 2015 dont y'all have gps or drivers have smart phones?

Now I will have to say sometimes google or map quest or insert your service won't know or will tell you a wrong location even with an address.

It finally got cold enough to give one of my gifts a break in tonight. Brought in some wood in a new tote. My old one was getting a bit ratty.

USPS has some agreement with AMAZON for Sunday delivery. I have prime. If I order on Friday, it is delivered on Sunday. Even some stupid $5 order. There doesn't seem to be a way to tell them it is OK to delivery on another day.
