Right where I want to be.
Wind is just about gone. 26 OAT, and 67 in here.
I should have gotten up over an hour ago, but I slept in.
Plenty of coals, and 4 Maple splits going well.
Almost 1/2 cord of Maple left that should get us into January. Nice.

Forecast sez 8-10" by tomorrow afternoon.
I put 3/4 load in last nite around 5. Mostly red and white oak. Fell asleep before I could do a full reload.
House was 66 at 5 this morning. Dang that felt cold. A lil' 'pane to speed the warm up.
Still plenty of coals for a quick refire.

I am going to head down to Fort Collins Colorado today to see about getting some chains for my tractor. I looked around Cheyenne and there is nothing for tractors.

The trucks have been stacked up all over the place due to road closures around here. I feel bad for those people.

How is it doing today. The wind over this way has finally calmed down and is half decent to go outside. There is still some good sized drifts around though.
I was out walking this morning and ran into a couple of big jack rabbits. I never see them out during the day light hours usually only at night. They must be hunkering down
at night because of the cold and coming out now during day light for food. Stay warm.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to get up n go the stove in anything below -15 C, even with a short stack like I have here. When it hits -30 c, you just give the stove a mean look and she darn near starts herself!

Still getting spoiled though, only a few nights in the next couple weeks are supposed to drop down to -20 C, otherwise -10 to 15 C for the highs n lows over the same time.

Weve had it pretty good here as well. I think the coldest was about -21 c for us then it got warm. -5c to -10c all week coming up with a bit of snow so that puts us above the norm but I'll take it! As long as I can ice fish, snow shoe and have it look like winter Im happy!

Reminds me of about 5 years back, we had been getting lots of snow, so the following year I asked for snow shoes for Christmas. Wouldn't you know it, that year we didn't have enough snow to use them until late February. Just my luck lol
