    Isn't that the point I was trying to make?

    Both ATV and Quad have four wheels. You guys must be younger now that I think about it. In the 80's is when the atv craze started. Yes, with Three wheelers until the feds decided that those nasty three wheelers are too dangerous for us sheeple. In the meantime, four wheelers were on the rise with almost all of them being 2WD. The 4WD started coming out and were referred to as Quads (around here). Probably due to the Suzuki King Quad that flooded the market locally....

    In the 80's the term for a "three-wheeler" was ATC. All terrain cycle.
    You will also hear the term OHV. Off highway vehicle.

    ATV can have any number of wheels...but usually 4...sometimes 6. Quad obviously has 4.

    I think that maybe it was Suziki that started the whole off-road ATC ATV Quad thing anyway!
    There sure were a buttload of suzikis running around here back then.
    Seemed like they were giving away the 125's, no?
