Very good question. I couldn't find the prices but they do have an inquire button so try that and see where it goes. It could be the price depends on whether you are wholesaler, retailer or off the street customer.
That's where fallers pants or the European Version of said pants come into play. I have and use a pair of 9 ply chaps in the woods. I don't suit up for every test cut off the sawbuck tho. They're fantastic when I'm cutting in below freezing weather. Otherwise I sweat my balls off in them. Been wanting to upgrade to pants for quite awhile. I really wish these guys would ship to the US. e.s. Forestry cut protection trousers, KWF - engelbert strauss
I just was looking at Baileys & back at Labonville's. They do have pants with an insertable "pad" & Bailey's has some "chicken pants" that look similar to your pic. At that money, I like to "touch & feel" and at least try them on. I like those bibs!
Not cheap at all. I've been to one of there stores in Germany. Absolutely amazing workwear store. I could have a buddy buy me a pair and bring 'em over but like you,I want to try them on, need an excuse to get back there.
Been cutting for 40 years, started wearing chaps 15 years ago, hit my right thigh with saw limbing about 8 years ago, saw ate the string and stopped. At first I was scared to look under the chaps, then second, I changed my underwear. (not really) But I was shaking like a leaf. I never cut without them, ever, and I wear safety glasses, steel toe boots, and ear plugs.
Hmmm, I'm thinking maybe this pic should be the official FHC manly man website heading. I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok..........
