Oh, so you haven't run the Harman then?

No, it was not in running condition when I got it and I don't have a garage to work in and dad didn't want me taking up space in his. So all work has been done in my basement without the chance to try firing it without venting restrictions, because there was no way in hell it was going back up the stairs to test fire outside.

Is there a way of trying the stove without been hooked up to the chimney, gotta be safe about it but it's only for a couple minutes. Like rigging up 4" galvanize duct to nearest window or door.

Disregard the last test. let's get some higher temps out of your distribution air.

Yea Fahrenheit uses 4" vent. They also recommend 20ft total vent. Each bend equals 5ft.

It's not dark red, kind of orange. The flame tips are lazy and black and the inside of stove and the window get a black film on them really quick. I know it's not the pellets because they burn clean in my other stove. I took a video last night and wish I could post it.

Yeah I seen his pic, but he would have to move the furnace with back against the wall near the 2 holes.

Naw, I had a busy night at work and am wound tighter than a 3 day clock.

Noted, will worry about getting heat out before clean flame. As I mentioned in another post, they may be one in the same issue.

Needs more air, open damper some and wait. Learned from Matt at Fahrenheit and Dex.

5 feet for every bend? After the bend, before the bend? I know when I read them manual they listed a minimum of x feet of vertical rise. Don't recall anything about the vertical rise to bend requirement.

Those two holes just go out into the chimney, not directly outside.

Also, have tried running damper wide open. It doesn't really burn cleaner. The flame just goes weird. Again, would be helpful if I could post some videos.

It's saying each bend equals 5ft of pipe, they only recommend 20ft of pipe total.

Remember, he has bigger impeller and motor. Opening up more air can do no wrong.

That's where fresh air comes in, unless you plugged ALL the air holes.

Roger, I misunderstood. You meant every bend equals 5' of pipe. Well I can tell you then that I am over the 20' of venting.

I've got an email in with Matt right now as I ran over my install with him prior to building the chimney as I had concerns about the performance.

Also needs 3ft min of vertical above exhaust port on rear of furnace.
