Only two things to do with under roo's, either wash them right away or burn them in the stove! Letting them pile up in the hamper is not an option! upload_2015-12-10_20-56-59.png

    Nope.

COMPANY PROFILE » BRUNSWICK I have just a few of these Products » BRUNSWICK My youngest goes to the Gaelic College on Cape Breton for piping and fiddling courses each summer. Selections from the cannery store frequently arrive here as birthday presents. The items are sort of like going back to a different time and place in my life. My favourite pack isn't done by anyone and I no longer have access to the means of doing my own. It has been decades since I've had some.

I worked in a fish cannery summers while getting an edumication. I had a can still hot from the retort from time to time as a break time snack. Small fish packed in Raye's mustard were very good hot from the retort.

Amazon carries these by the case! http://www.amazon.com/Brunswick-Sea...1035&sr=1-2&keywords=brunswick+seafood+snacks
But that isn't the same as getting them as a birthday present. I like sardines, but it is hard to find good ones like we used to. Usually, the ones we get end up being big cut up fish. Not the same. Good sardines, some soda crackers and a nice brew make a very satisfying lunch.

Yes I know, but since they are far less expensive in New Brunswick and the route getting to piping school has the cannery store on it, no need to double and triple the cost.

Those "Bar Harbor" ones are good but fairly expensive, even when obtained from Looks in Washington County, Maine.

Ivanhoe my favorite pack is small fish in oil with Clove and Bay-leaf.

Raye's has a decent following in the gourmet mustard crowd, but I doubt if they supply any canneries these days. Know a bit about the people and the plant. One was a next door neighbour.
