He has been doing really good about adding music to his channel on a nearly daily basis. Mom gets to hear him play, the rest of us get a time capsule of his records. Great scenario for everyone involved. I gave him a mixer board and installed Audacity on his computer, he is learning about multitracking as well.
Does he play in front of audiences? That stuff is Old Time Country! You can't find it anymore. Reminds me of John Prine!
There are many more on his channel now, too. I gave him a bass I had in the closet so he will be adding that as a second track in some of the new recordings.
Cherish these Adam. I remember we used to have an old 45 rpm record that my father-in-law made. He played the fiddle, mother-in-law played piano, Uncle played drums, someone else accordian, etc. It was a great piece of home-made music. Sadly the record got destroyed but oh how we wish we still had it.
Grizzly....not sure if he is interested but there is a very large bluegrass festival every year at the Plymouth County Fair Grounds (not during the fair). It's in LeMars and they open the fair ground parking lot up to campers. Multi day event. I've met people in town during the event from as far away as Texas and both coasts.
Could be. Been around for a while. Fairly new to this area though...maybe 5th or 6th year here? National Traditional Country Music Assn.
