Milleo, sorry :) She is still not herself, but no where near down and out. Vet will be here at 2-3 tomorrow, and will likely have some urine tested by then. We looked at her mouth and teeth last night, nothing obvious, but that is my instinct....

I ended up falling asleep in lil ones bed last night and did not get her tied up. WWW caught her in the act before dawn this morning :picard: I was sound asleep but he said she finished peeing outside:thumbs:

Because WS said so.. We got our Lady (yes 10 YO girl was watching Disney ) a 3 year old rescue Shepherd who had been abused she is really coming into her own. I like rescuing because so many dogs need a good home. but it does offer challenges with their past history,. but as she has separation anxiety. and loves to go for car rides but caused me to rear end some one when hopping into front seat shut car off and lost power brakes:hair: but thankfully no one was hurt and no damages .

She loves wife!, I'll try to get a pic when wife gets home dog will pin her in a chair and lack her whole face!

but leaving her for even 3 hours makes her physically iĺl.. but she getting better!

So glad maple (great name) is doing better and of course a pic 20150412_180832.jpg

Shes a purdy Lady! Glad she is doing better. Even though she was abused in the past, she loved her owners. I recently read that dogs, some breeds more than others REALLY suffer from seperation anxiety after losing their original owners, whether they were put up for adoption, a death, etc. Once adopted, like in your case, they cling, follow everywhere you or your wife goes, but usually get better. They fear so much that their pack will abandon them again. So glad to hear folks adopt. I swing through the local spca often....... it kills me, to walk away empty handed. Every dog is so precious.

sounds to me like a CBC and chem profile in indicated. They will show if her electrolytes are off, or if an infection is present. or if her Blood sugar is up. Testing the urine for nitrates is another indication of bladder infections. Bladder infections can be nasty and cause a multitude of other problems. The Vet could elect to treat her anyway just based on symptoms. If she goes on antibiotics, you should consider putting her on Probiotics at the same time. The antibiotics are famous for causing loose stools. more dehydration. The owner become frustrated with the cleaning and the dog is upset with being incontinent.

Lady is a beautiful dog! I'm sure she will come around. She just needs time. Gsd is one of the most loyal, trainable, and well mannered dogs I've seen. Love me some shepards. Looking forward to more pics!

yeah she never barked for talked for 4 months.. now it's like a normal three year old always talking... But she is a bed thief. it's Hilarious she sleeps with a paw and head on wife thigh so if wife moves she is up.. never had a dog not food driven. you could give her steak tips but if she is focused on something she does not care! all about the love... wants so much to be a good girl.. so smart it's scary. she opens house doors.. just got to train her to close them it's December in Vermont:picard:

Lady is a great looking did Canadian border VT . She'll come around once she knows that you guys will always be there for her.

Shepard's are very loyal dogs. They are motivated more by their loyalty than food, so build their trust, and they'll do exactly as you want them to.

I've never owned a shepherd, but I've had enough friends that have, to understand the breed.

Older, spayed female. May be getting loose muscles from not having the hormones. Had a Dobie that had to have hormone therapy every day or she would leak (and it really upset her too). The unusual behavior could be the start of that (which would be great, cheap and easy fix).

And by the way, male dogs can go thru that too. My last dog, amale (neutered) shepherd/greyhound mix who lived to 15, had to be on a Dexotrim-like pill for his last 8 months because of leakage - and he started off by going at weird times, and not like his bladder was full. At first I thought it was just from stress since I didn't know male dogs could suffer from the same issue; a true issue of male "men-o-paws"
