    The little ones disappear quickly, with all the apartments in the area, so I'm taking a chance getting it early......never bought one this early. It's a Frasier fir, so they hold needles a lot longer. It's outside in a bucket of water until I decide it's time to come indoors.

    Was talking to my folks, who live in KS, and they said they had several trees that they were having taken down because some bug is killing them off. I asked what they do with them sice they can't sell them for firewood (I assume). The reply was "grind them up." my next comment was to wonder if they made their way to a pellet making mill :D. They were a little flummoxed at that.

    On the drive home from Maine today it was 57-59 degrees nearly the whole way home. Is it really December 6th? Love these mild temps.

    This year temps have been very mild. Not sure it will get cold enough to put up our ice rink.

    Well, if the pine beetle kills deciduous trees too, then maybe. That pellet mill is a good 622 miles from where my folks live, so guessing their couple of trees aren't going there.

    Yeah, that is what I thought so didn't know why it was brought up in response to my post since my folk's trees that got killed off are not pines. But, thought you knew something I didn't know. :confused:

    However, I just realized you guys had been talking about grinding up Christmas trees so you assumed I was talking about pines because I didn't specify. Mixed messages and all - :D
