She's a modest stack but a stack nonetheless and I worked my butt off to make she was ready for this Winter. I will have more next year to play with the big guns.
Oooooh yeah!!! That's a beautiful sight right there, man! A couple more of them would be great, but it takes time- you'll get there before ya know it! Man, just awesome....way to do it right Decemberist
Thanks Eric, I was thinking about taking the tarps off just to spruce it up for you guys but it is Sunday and I have to watch my beloved Jets lose to the Giants!
Saw a bit of that game, at the start- another awesome one handed catch by that NYG's fellow... What's his name? Beckham or something? Anyways..... question- how does your wood do with the tarps coming down the face so far? No ill effect in terms of extra mold growth? Or is it just personal preference? Go Giants...
First of all Giants? Boo. Secondly, yes, it's Beckham Jr. and the guy is too freaking good. Lastly, if you look at the first picture, the plastic covering the wood was all I had covering it until the past Month or so, It worked well from late Winter through the Summer and Fall at keeping the rain from soaking the wood. Only recently did I cover the wood with a tarp, just to keep it as dry as possible for burning. I am a believer in not covering the wood while seasoning, I just waited until the last Month to fully cover so no mold issues, I guess we all have our methods to speed up the seasoning process.
Just giving you a hard time bout the Giants- I'm not a huge fan of any teams... Watch occasionally and root for NY teams in general I've no qualms with the tarping... Some of my stacks ain't covered at all. Just a question- that's all, fellow NY'er What was the outcome of the game?
Those stacks are just fine, we all don't have mile long piles and forty cords of wood. But we can dream! Anyways, welcome, nice to meet ya!
