Dead standing snowman

My dad got creative with some dead standing oak we had laying around. He's made a few for mom and her friends and he made this one for baby piney. Never knew the ol man was so crafty!

 

That's pretty neat. I may have to steal his idea. I think our little guy would love one of those on the porch.

Very neat-o, I like his creativity. Can you reveal how the parts are attached together .. nails .. glue .. or just gravity?

 

Yep just toss itin the stove at the end of the season . I think we'll keep this one though

he's got a strip of ply running up the back.

 

When my mom first showed him a picture of one and asked if he could make them, she failed to tell him they were only 2ft tall. He built one with 18" rounds that was close to 4ft tall . That sucker weighs close to 60lbs! It resides on their front lawn now.

 

Yeah but after 3 years when it dries down to 20% MC, it should weigh a good bit less. LOL.

 

That's great thank your dad for the idea I can see a few of these popping up in my area soon.

 

I like it real well, Dad did good......now I'm going to move onto another thread before my wife sees this......my honey do list is on hold until deer gun season is over.
