You don't have duvet covers!?! So you have to wash the duvet every time? No wonder there are so many laundrettes in American films
Backwoods Savage 50% decrease in wood use and increased output, these sound amazing. I'll have to see if they're available over here. Glad you are reaping the rewards of taking a leap of faith
Wait, what's a duvet. Do they make covers for the duvet covers? Why would one need to cover one's duvet? This could get crazy real fast. Sorry to hear about the finger Jim. ETA: OK, so I just edumacated mahself on duvets.
Welcome. Sounds like you've got some good wood species to burn. BTW, what brand of stove? Sorry if I didn't pick that up in earlier posts.
Welcome too the world of wood burning from a Shropshire Lad who moved stateside 25 yrs ago. Had an aunt who lived outside Barnstable spent several summers there, love the "scrumpy ". Different kind of cold here, snow, ice and frigid , not the wet and windy chill although when we have wind chill it gets real cold ( -30 / 40F ) is the worst Ive experienced. Get those rounds split so they dry better and keep the top covered to keep out the moisture, more so if you are closer to the sea / breeze . bob
Honey Iam home, is supper ready ? is the wood cut ? is the fire made ?.............Good, bring my pipe and slippers and turn the TV on to channel FHC.
I'd probably have the slippers thrown at me if I asked her that! Supper and fire going- yeah she covers that pretty well.... But not the slippers

Sorry papadave had parent teacher conference... Duvets are comforters or heavy blankets, usually feather filled, for beds.. they put covers on them like pillow cases, duvet covers, on then and then just wash the cover... so much easier
